First Christmas!

How fun Christmas was this year! Santa brought Colton lots of goodies under the tree. We are pretty sure that Coco had more fun pulling the bulbs off the Christmas tree, and we let him, because it was so cute to see how excited he was getting! All growing up you think all year of what you want for Christmas, you see that "perfect gift that you cannot live without" and immediately call, text or drag your mom, dad or spouse to that prized item and tell them "This is it! The perfect gift for me, that I want this year for Christmas"!!!!
Well, life in the Lewis home is quite different now days. We were dragging each other around, "Oh babe Coco has to have this cool toy!" or "Honey, look how stinkin'  cute this outfit is, Coco would be the cutest in it!" Oh what fun it is to shop! Trav and I had a blast, sipping on our Carmel Brulee and shopping around for our little Coco bud. Come Christmas day, Colton didn't really get that the "things wrapped in paper under the tree" were his gifts to unwrap. Yes, we helped him unwrap his goodies and took pictures of EVERY gift- it was fun, nothing could have made the morning more enjoyable! Being a parent gets better and better, more fun and more joyful.

HoHoHo

Colton enjoyed seeing Santa on Monday night at the Christmas Play-date with all of his friends. He sat there on Santa's knee just as calm and collected as you please...I think he even asked Santa for something but he won't tell us what it was...gonna make things real difficult for Mommy and Daddy!

Psalm 27:14

"Wait on the LORDbe of good courageand he shall strengthen thine heartwaitI sayon the LORD."    Psalm 27:14

My friend Rachel, text this scripture to me earlier today (some of you probably got the same text). That scripture really began to sink into my mind, into my spirit- how good God is. He knows the words that you need to hear, just in the right moments, when you know that you need to hear a word from Him. How many times are we so impatient to hear what HE wants for us, or impatient to the point of being down and grumpy because "I just need my circumstance to work out right this moment!" Be of good courage!! Find that strength during the pain or waiting. WOW! How this scripture has impacted our home today! Yes, I know that it is a scripture that we all have read a billion, trillion times, but its so so so so good!
So, to all you that are reading and are down and grumpy because things are just not what you want them to be, at this very moment.... "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD".

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a blast this year! It was Colton's first turkey day:) He didn't get to eat any turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans or stuffing, but he did get to have dessert:) He loves cool whip just like me:)
We had Meagan, Jett, Philip and Kate over our house early Thanksgiving morning for a big breakfast. We made cinnamon french toast, pancakes, eggs, sausage and bacon. YUMMY!!!! I was stuffed before the turkey stuffed me! Around 3 or so we left to Lewis home of Gene, Jill, Ben and Booker. Gigi and Buffy were there along with Meagan, Jett, Mike (adopted MAC brother), Seth and Chelsea. It was so nice to have a peaceful holiday, fun and full of laughter and lots of good food!

HELLO!

Well...it has been a long time coming! Travis and I made a blog a while back, and only kept up on it for about 2 months. How boring are we!!!! We didn't have the time to blog everyday or once a week (you need a computer and internet to do that). Good news! We decided to join the world of "Apple", yes we got a Macbook AND the internet:) Yippie for us! This year has been very eventful for Trav and I. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary and then celebrated the birth of our beautiful, sweet, healthy, fun baby boy, Colton Michael Lewis on April 19, 2009. 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 21 inches long, he's a big boy! Growing everyday and getting smarter and smarter. With all this being said, I decided to create a new blog, so you all can see what is going on in the life of The Lewis'
